The DIPRA® Switch SW2400 fulfills two fundamental functions - it controls and monitors the entire DMR radio network and caters for the integration of mobile users into the voice and data communication of an organization.
Interfacing to PABX and PSTN can be done on the basis of a variety of options. Apart from ISDN S0 and S2m a VoIP interface is available, as well. The conversion between the differing voice coding schemes (AMBE+2, µ-Law PCM etc.) is performed exploiting the Digital Voice Transcoder (DVT) providing up to 120 duplex voice channels for interconnection.
Various data interfaces facilitate the smooth integration into the Local Area Network of an organization, hence connecting e.g. to power network control centers, dispatch centers, or to an ITCS - just to name a few.
Professional server hardware, RAID storage systems as well as redundancy concepts matched to reliability requirements, up to a second SW2400 as hot stand-by with automatic switchover even maintain the demand for highest availability.
As an option, the DIPRA® Switch is also available as SW2400 compact for smaller DIPRA® DMR radio networks.
