The RADIODATA DIPRA® Simulcast solution is based on the open ETSI specification DMR. The simulcast system supports the operation of DMR Tier II and DMR Tier III networks. Simulcast systems broadcast the same frequency over multiple overlapping locations simultaneously. The DIPRA® Simulcast system provides reliable DMR radio coverage over large areas and is ideal for utilities, public transport operators and related organizations operating with limited frequency resources over a large area.
Easy roaming
In the RADIODATA DIPRA® Simulcast system, the end devices automatically switch to the best-receivable cell without the user having to change the channel manually. This process ensures the best possible voice quality and high user acceptance. Simulcast systems allow the coverage large areas with only one or a few frequency pairs. The entire communication capacity is available throughout the simulcast area.
Analogue and digital operation
With the appropriate firmware, the RADIODATA DIPRA® Simulcast system can work both in analog and digital mode. This opens up interesting possibilities for migrating from an analog radio network to a DMR radio system.
Higher capacity through subnets
The RADIODATA DIPRA® Simulcast system can be divided into several subnets. Each subnet initially works as a separate simulcast radio system, resulting in a high overall capacity. However, upon request, all subnets can be interconnected to form a large radio system.
Flexible IP network
The architecture based on the IP protocol enables secure and flexible networking. Most radio system operators use their existing IT network as an IP transport network, so there are hardly any additional costs.
